Our Mission:
The Por La Gente Association of Racine is a non-profit organization which began in 1984. Por La Gente strives towards promoting athletics and recreation within the Latino community in the City of Racine. The Association currently manages the Por La Gente men and women’s softball teams as well as holds its annual basketball and softball tournaments, and its golf outing. In addition, Por La Gente awards two scholarships to area Latino high school students for college.

Scholarship Program Information:
Since 1984, Por La Gente has an established annual scholarship program for the Racine Latino area high school students. PLG is very proud of our past scholarship recipients, most of which have completed their undergraduate and post-graduate studies. Please click here to be directed to our Scholarship Application form. Students must submit the application by March 16, 2012.
